Now I know you're probably thinking, "yah right, Paris is not romantic and magical...girls just say that...it's so cliché".
Trust me, I once was a nonbeliever like yourself. However, the second I arrived in the heart of Paris, I was turned. Paris gives off a certain vibe that I just can't put my finger on. It's not just a city, it's a whole other world. The architecture is breath-taking. My favourite buildings were Le Louvre and the Opera House - equally stunning. The one building that shocked me the most was Abercrombie & Fitch on Champs Elysee. Probably the most stunning storefront I've ever seen - 12-15 foot golden gates with perfectly manicured trees lining the length of the 20 foot sidewalk leading up to the store (obviously equipped with two gorgeous male models guarding the gates). The Europeans go crazy for American brands...hence why I'd guess that 95% of the stores on Champs Elysee are common American brands. Every fashion boutique and showroom was beautiful and their merchandise was even better. I should've had blinders on while roaming the streets because I killed time just looking into each store. My favourite shopping destinations are:
Boulevard Haussmann (Galeries Lafayette - Best cosmetic and shoe department - heaven! & Printemps)
Avenue Montaigne (Designer Stores)
Champs Eylsee (American Brands)
Saint-Honore (Designer Stores)
Bottom line, make Paris a bucket list item, even if you're one of those nonbelievers. I'll bet you my favourite Louis Vuitton bag that you'll become a believer (...not serious about the LV bag...but you will). My dream is that I can get to a point in my life where I will be able to visit Paris once a year for my birthday - as well as attend PFW.
